Quinssa Travel Advice
Quins v Stade Francais in Paris 10th November
Making your own way
While a number of fans are going to be taking the package trip offered by Living With The Lions a number of fans are looking at making their own way to Paris for the match.
Train
Eurostar has some very good deals at the moment, check their site for the latest deals - they do train and hotel weekend packages which are on offer from about £100 per person at the moment. eurostar.com
Opodo.co.uk has been advertising three night Eurostar breaks recently so they may be worth checking out. opodo.co.uk
Flights
Flights are readily available from Heathrow, Gatwick, Southampton, Luton, London City, Stanstead - well pretty much any major airport really.
British Airways (britishairways.com) have return flights at £135.80
Air France (airfrance.com) have return flights for £92.60
Hotels
Central Paris
There are obviously huge numbers of hotels available (try searching on ichotelsgroup.com or ibishotel.com), the Living with the Lions group will be staying in the Burgundy Hotel which is right in the centre of town between Madeleine and Concorde - burgundyhotel.com
Some others have booked into the Queen Mary Hotel - hotelqueenmary.com
Porte de Saint Cloud
It is most likely that the game will be played at Stade Jean Bouin which is between Paris and Boulogne Billancourt so if you'd prefer your hotel to be closer to the ground here are some suggestions from the Stade Francais fans we met last time we went over:
Porte de Saint Cloud; which is 5 minutes walk from the ground
Les Jardins de Paris Boulogne - hotel-jardins-boulogne-billancourt.federal-hotel.com
The Hotel Les Jardins de Paris Boulogn - hotelsjardinsdeparis.com/boulogne
Hotel Emeraude Regina - hotels-emeraude.fr has very cheap deals on at the moment
Campanile Paris Ouest - Boulogne - webbooking.louvre-hotels.fr seem to have some very cheap offers too
Mercure Paris Porte de St Cloud - accorhotels.com/accorhotels/fichehotel
There are a lot of local hotels listed on sites-hotels.com
Drinking on the first night
Friday 9th November 22:00 – Late
Drinks with Stade Français fans at “Rue de la Soif” (Thirsty Street)
Rue de la Soif is the nick name of an area covered by rues Guisarde, Princesse and des Canettes in the St Germain des Prés area of Paris. There are loads of bars in this area, hence the name, including a couple of English pubs - the Bedford Arms and The Frog & Princess.
The closest Metro stops are: Saint Sulpice and Saint Germain des Prés (both M4); or Mabillon (M10).
For those who have already booked you can find the information packs about the organised meals below:
