Programme Notes 2009/10
Scarlets
A few weeks ago I offered a pint to the first person to spot our next DOR in the ground and some of you are already staking your claims. It’s very much the first one to name the person spotted on the day and I have a couple of names in the hat already. Keep them coming in and I’ll award the prize when the position is filled.
The official opening of the Quins Head has been delayed but at least there was some choice of beer from the hatch last week. The re-opening is now scheduled for …………
We’ve got some great Quinssa events lined up:
Meet the Academy 18th November 2009. Only a few weeks to go before the next Quinssa "Meet the Academy" evening when Tony Diprose and Howard Graham will be presenting an interesting evening along with the young guns from the Academy. Come along to meet the next generation of Quins first team players, to learn about recruitment and training and to see exciting video footage of the lads in action. For details, contact john@quinssa.org.uk or ring John on 078 1782 2950. Quinssa members - all the details are in your weekly mailer.
Toulouse v Quins 15/16/17 January 2010. Quinssa members should look out for a special mailer with details of a proposed group ticket arrangement for this game. Quinssa will not be organising travel or hotels for this trip but as a service to members and their friends will consider the purchase of a block of tickets so we can all sit together. Respond quickly to the mailer when you get it if you want to join us at this game.
Quinssa are delighted to confirm that the third annual ‘6 Nations Dinner’ with Player Attendance and Live Band will take place at the Twickenham Stoop (King’s Bar, Etihad Stand) from 7.00pm until 11.30pm on Tuesday, 9th February 2010.
The evening will include: 3 course sit down meal. Player Host per table. Live Band. Complimentary wine on each table. Cash bar. Raffle in aid of the Academy. Supporters’ Awards. Free Parking at the Stoop. All this for only £55.00 per person!
Tickets will be available to purchase from the Quinssa Stand in the Etihad Bar today and before the following home matches: Saturday, 28th November (Gloucester). Sunday, 13th December (Sale). Please contact Emma (rugbybird@quinssa.org.uk) with any queries.
Finally there is the Quinssa annual collection of toys for the Shooting Star Hospice. We are awaiting information from the new contact at the Hospice but we expect to be asking you for a suitable gift for the children at the Hospice and to drop it off at the Quinssa stand. Keep an eye on our regular mailer and the Quins website. One donation will win a prize donated by Etihad.
If you haven’t renewed your membership for this season then you can do it today at our stand in the Etihad stand before the game. New members are also welcome to sign up at the same venue.
I’m keen to have photographs of supporters to accompany this article so if you’ve got some suitable ones then please send them to me at steve@quinssa.org.uk and see yourself and friends in the programme. Photos from away games are especially welcome.
The next away coach this season is to Northampton on 21st November. It is an early kick-off, 13.00, and we will be staying at Franklins Gardens after the match to watch the England v New Zealand game. For bookings see us in the Kings Bar before KO today or contact coaches@quinssa.org.uk
