Programme Notes 2004/5
London Irish
Today we welcome London Irish for our penultimate home Zurich Premiership home game. Both sides are not where they planned to be in the table. However, there’s still much to play for so we can expect a closely fought game. Let’s just hope the game is of a higher quality than the season’s opener back in early September.
Making a noise
Quins still lag a little way behind some when it comes to making a noise. So why not buy a pair of those truly delightful Bam Bams? Easy to operate, suitable for both right and left handed supporters, they are even deflatable when finished with. One pair costs less than a pint at £2 and you can get three pairs for a mind blowing fiver. So rid yourself of those inhibitions and join the happy slappers!
Balloons galore!
Quinssa are repeating last year’s highly successful balloon race in aid of the BPA. This year the prize for the owner of the winning balloon is £100 and there’s also a finder’s prize of £25. So visit the Quinssa desk in the East stand before the game to purchase your tickets.
Quinssa AGM
Our second AGM is on Wednesday 8th June. If you can make it, then please do. Avoid the temptation to slip away on holiday! Last year we invited Messrs Evans and Scotty who gave an incite into recruitment, relegation and life. We’re finalising our guest line up at the moment, so you’ll have to wait for the last program of the season for the full details.
Away travel
Our last scheduled coach trip has now been completed. Details for the midweek game at Leeds can be found on our website at quinssa.org.uk. If we progress to the ZP wildcard then we probably will provide some transport. So either see the website or contact John on John@quinssa.org.uk.
Calling all volunteers!
We are always looking for volunteers and people to help out with jobs. Could that be you? Well pop along to our desk in the East stand bar before the game and have a chat to one of the many Quinssa committee members who’ll be there.
Quinssa stand
Quinssa run a desk at all home games before the match. It can be found in the East Stand bar near the stage. There’s an opportunity to buy one of those fantastic Quinssa calendars, amazingly there’s still just a few left. We’ve also got a couple of signed copies of The Immortal Harlequin left and you can buy some pairs of this season’s must have accessories. It’s also a chance to meet other fans and to see some of the Quinssa committee members.
What’s Quinssa?
Quinssa is the independent fans organisation now just two years old. We’ve a web site at www.quinssa.org.uk packed with information. It was recently redesigned and new content is being added all the time. Quinssa primarily organise away travel, arrange a host of social events, support the club and raise a fair bit for charity along the way. So why not join us?
Have a great day and enjoy the Quin’s experience to the full. Please be considerate to those around you, so stay in your seat and only leave it during breaks in play. If you have to leave before the end then don’t get in the eye line of those still watching. Now let’s hear some noise! Bang those Bam Bams! Come on you Quins!
