Natal Sharks

Tonight we welcome back the supporters, team and management of Natal Sharks for “The Safe Solutions Challenge” contest, our fourth such meeting between the sides. I’m sure it will be as keenly fought as the previous encounters.

A big welcome

Past encounters have produced a slightly different crowd from the normal league games. So if you’re one of those who have been dragged along by a work colleague or compatriot, well I hope you enjoy what you see and experience tonight and will want to come again. NEC Harlequins are the only top flight rugby team playing in London and if you need further evidence to bring you here again we have three South Africans on our books at the moment. Club captain is the indefatigable Andre Vos, Geo Cronje (who’s currently a little injured) and recent signing Dave von Hoesslin. Our next home league game promises to be one the matches of the season and is very eagerly awaited by Quins, that’s against new boys Worcester Warriors on Saturday 19th February ko 2pm. But don’t delay in getting tickets as it’s bound to be a sell out.

A long red hoarding?

No it’s not a work of art, it’s not on loan from Tate Modern it’s a work in a progress. The old West Stand has been demolished and will be replaced by a massive and very impressive new one, roughly very like the existing East stand. It will take the capacity to a healthy number and shows the commitment to the future.

What’s Quinssa?

Quinssa is the independent fans organisation now just two months away from our second birthday. We’ve so far accumulated over five hundred members, we’ve a web site at www.quinssa.org.uk packed with information. Quinssa primarily organise away travel, arrange a host of social events, support the club and raise a fair bit for charity along the way. So why not join us?

Old Player’s night

The Stoop was packed the other night for our joint evening with HOPA, the Jester bar was throbbing and I think everyone who came thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A big thank you to all who took part and to Duncan Franklin who did the bulk of the organising.

Quinssa travel

The next coach trip to an away game is against Bath on Saturday Feb 26th ko 2.15. See our website (www.quinssa.org.uk) for details or contact John Hartley on coaches@quinssa.org.uk.  They really are great fun and it’s a good way to meet like minded fans. (Although perhaps that’s not the recommendation it should be!)

Want a memento of tonight?

So why not pick up a special Quinssa calendar. Either see our website for details or visit Ebay.

Have a really good evening, respect the kickers, try not to walk along the East Stand walk way during the game and most importantly cheer the lads on.
