Neath Swansea Ospreys

This afternoon we welcome Neath Swansea Ospreys to The Stoop for the return Heineken Cup pool game. We hope their supporters, management and team enjoy their day in the capital’s only top flight rugby club.

One competition down!

After a very disappointing performance last week our Heineken Cup dreams are over for another year. In the fading splendour of The Gnoll we were the weaker of two poor sides so let’s hope we see an improvement akin to our recent league form. However, we still have three tough pool games to play and there is a lot more at stake than respect. Well done for those supporters who made the long trek down there, particularly after the public transport problems around Twickenham.

Powergen travels

This is the middle week of three cup weekends on the trot. Next week Quinssa will be running a coach to Bath for what will be a keenly contested 6th round contest. There’s not many seats left so either come to the Quinssa desk in the East stand before the game or email me on will@quinssa.org.uk to book your seats.

Quinssa calendars

After last year’s superb effort, our next offering should be available today from the Quinssa desk at £10 a go for our members (a little more if you’re not!). This time all the photographs used have been provided by our members. Could anything make a better Christmas present?

Supporters’ Pub Night

Full details are elsewhere, but just a short mention for the next Greene King Supporter Pub night on Wednesday (the 15th) at the Kings Arms on Twickenham. Rather imaginatively, it’ll have a Christmas theme so you can put that Hawaiian shirt away for another week. These nights are great fun, so if you can get there you’re sure to enjoy it.

Future coaches

For reference and so that you can plan those busy away weekends, Quinssa are planning to run coaches in the new year to Leicester in January, Bath in February, then Northampton and Leeds.

What’s Quinssa?

Quinssa is the independent fans organisation now in it’s second year. We’ve a web site at www.quinssa.org.uk packed with information. Quinssa primarily organise away travel, arrange a host of social events, support the club and raise a fair bit for charity along the way.

Bookings and contacting us

If you’re around before the game then pop into the East Stand bar and by the stage you’ll see our table. It’s a chance to meet and greet other fans, book for coaches and find out more about us. There’s also the chance to buy one of those swanky new calendars.

On a personal note as this is our last home game before Christmas can I wish everyone the season’s greetings and can I also extend congratulations to Quinssa  members Alan and Deidre who recently got married and to Alison and Neil who shortly will as well. Mad fools!

Have a memorable day, take time to enjoy the great match day experience here at The Stoop, respect the kickers and raise the roof with your support for the team.
