Quinssa ND1 Travel Guide
Nottingham Rugby Football Club
The Clubhouse, Ireland Avenue, Dovecote Lane, Beeston, Nottingham NG9 1JD
(t) 0115 925 4238 (f) 0115 925 4255
Where the club is: Nottingham is well north of Leicester and a little way to the east of Derby.
Club ground: The ground is at Beeston and there’s excellent transport links. Other than that information is a little thin on the ground.
Position last year: Nottingham were 11th out of 14 with seven wins from twenty six games.
Helpful sites: http://www.nottinghamrfc.co.uk/main.htm (Beware, there’s an awful lot of green on it!)
How to get there:
Road: M1 exit 25, full details are available at http://www.nottinghamrfc.co.uk/club/location.htm Parking at the ground is very limited and you’ll probably have to park in the nearby Siemens car park on the other side of the railway line.
Train: Beeston station is a bit awkward to get to. From London you can either go Kings Cross to Peterborough (with GNER), then on to Leicester (with Central trains) then on to Beeston (with Midland Main Line), that little journey takes about 2 hours 20. Or you can go Kings Cross to Grantham (with GNER), then on to Nottingham (with Central trains) and finally to Beeston (with Midland mainline). This variation takes roughly the same time. The ground is a very short walk from the station, put NG9 1JD into streetmap.co.uk to guide you.
